You can switch from Trainerize to BrixFit in about a week. Export your client list as a CSV and save your key programs as PDFs, then on eligible plans the BrixFit team rebuilds your clients and programs for free. Invite clients in two batches, record a fresh baseline on their first BrixFit check-in, and retire Trainerize after one check-in cycle.
What Trainerize lets you export
According to Trainerize's help centre (checked on 30 September 2026):
- Client list as CSV. From the Clients tab you can export pending, active or deactivated clients. The CSV includes first name, last name, email, phone number and the assigned trainer.
- Workouts and programs as PDF. Programs cannot be exported as data or transferred, but you can open a workout or program and use the print option to save it as a PDF.
- Client history stays behind. Workout history, progress statistics, body measurements and adherence data cannot be exported.
That tells you how to plan the move: the client list and your program PDFs come across, and progress tracking restarts from a clean baseline.
What the BrixFit team migrates for you
| What you have in Trainerize | What you send us | Where it lands in BrixFit |
|---|---|---|
| Clients | Client CSV (active, and pending if you want them) | Client profiles, ready to invite |
| Programs and workouts | Program PDFs | Workout builder templates (1,500+ exercise library) |
| Meal plans and nutrition goals | Your plan PDFs or notes | Nutrition plans with meal options and substitutes (10M+ foods) |
| Check-in or consultation questions | A copy of your form questions | Custom check-in and onboarding forms |
| Measurements and history | Cannot be exported | Fresh baseline on the first BrixFit check-in |
The 7-day Trainerize to BrixFit checklist
- Day 1 - Walkthrough and exports. Book a BrixFit walkthrough, export your client CSV and save your most-used programs as PDFs.
- Day 2 - We build your account. Client profiles, workout templates, nutrition plans and your check-in form, set up by our team on eligible plans.
- Day 3 - Review. Open a few clients, adjust anything that does not feel like you, and use "View Portal" to see what clients see.
- Day 4 - Invite your most engaged clients. Ask them to include weight, measurements and photos on their first check-in.
- Day 5 - Invite everyone else. One short message, one download link.
- Day 6 - One check-in cycle. Activity alerts show who checked in and who has not opened the app yet.
- Day 7 - Retire Trainerize once every active client has logged in and checked in.
A message you can send clients:
From this week, your training, meals and check-ins move to the BrixFit app. Download it on iOS or Android and log in with the details I just emailed you. Your plan is already set up. On your first check-in, add your weight, measurements and a set of photos so we have a clean starting point.
Protect your clients' progress story
Because history cannot be exported from Trainerize, do two things before you cancel:
- Save a summary for each client: starting weight, current weight and one or two key numbers you track. Keep it as a note on their BrixFit profile.
- Take a new baseline: measurements and photos on the first BrixFit check-in. From there, BrixFit tracks it for you with graphs, and on paid plans, before/after photos with side-by-side and slider views.
What changes for your business
- Leads get a home. Lead forms with conditional questions, board, list and grid pipeline views, follow-ups and reminders. For a limited time, the BrixFit lead CRM is free with unlimited leads.
- Sales calls get easier. Lead Intel briefs you on each lead before the call, and AI health reports give prospects personalised free value.
- Payments stay yours. BrixFit never processes your client payments, so it takes no cut. You record payments to track revenue and renewals.
- Your brand leads. Clients see your branding after login, and your portal can run on your own domain, on eligible plans.
The full side-by-side is on our Trainerize alternative page. For the first week with each client in BrixFit, use our client onboarding template.
Frequently asked questions
Can I export my clients from Trainerize?
Yes. Trainerize lets you export pending, active or deactivated clients as a CSV with first name, last name, email, phone number and assigned trainer. On eligible plans, the BrixFit team turns that CSV into client profiles for you.
Can I move my Trainerize programs to BrixFit?
Trainerize does not export programs as data, but you can save workouts and programs as PDFs. Send those to us and, on eligible plans, the BrixFit team rebuilds them as templates in the BrixFit workout builder for free.
Will my clients' Trainerize history come across?
No. Trainerize does not allow export of workout history, progress statistics or body measurements. Save a short summary for each client, then record a fresh baseline on their first BrixFit check-in.
How long does switching from Trainerize take?
Most coaches follow a 7-day plan: exports and walkthrough, account build, review, two invite batches, one check-in cycle, then Trainerize is retired. Larger rosters may take longer.
Can I try BrixFit before cancelling Trainerize?
Yes. The free plan covers up to 3 active clients with workouts, nutrition, check-ins and the client app, and the lead CRM is free with unlimited leads for a limited time. No credit card is needed.
