Yes, you can switch from TrueCoach to BrixFit in about a week without your clients missing a session. Export your client list and workouts from TrueCoach, book a walkthrough, and on eligible plans the BrixFit team rebuilds your programs and client profiles for free. You then invite clients in two batches and retire TrueCoach after one check-in cycle.
This checklist covers what TrueCoach lets you export, what we move for you, the day-by-day plan, and what changes for your clients.
Before you start: what TrueCoach lets you export
Knowing what comes out of TrueCoach tells you what the migration can carry over. According to TrueCoach's own help centre (checked on 30 September 2026):
- Client list as CSV. From your client list, export sends you an email with a CSV of active (or archived) clients: name, email, phone number, birthday, location, time zone, height, weight, gender, client type, compliance score and total workouts completed. You can export a single group too.
- Workouts as a text file. From a client's workout calendar, the export icon sends the workouts for a chosen time frame as a .txt file to an email address.
That is enough for a clean move. The client CSV becomes client profiles in BrixFit, and the workout exports become templates in the BrixFit workout builder.
What the BrixFit team migrates for you
On eligible plans, migration is done for you, free. Here is how TrueCoach data maps into BrixFit.
| What you have in TrueCoach | What you send us | Where it lands in BrixFit |
|---|---|---|
| Clients and groups | Client CSV (one per group if you use groups) | Client profiles, tagged the same way |
| Programs and workouts | Workout .txt exports or your master templates | Workout builder templates |
| Metrics you track | Your metric list | Check-in form questions and body measurements |
| Nutrition guidance | Your macro targets or meal notes | Nutrition plans with meal options and substitutes |
| Client messages | Nothing to export | Fresh start in BrixFit in-app messaging |
Workout logs and compliance history stay in TrueCoach. The CSV does carry each client's current height and weight, and we record a fresh baseline on the first BrixFit check-in (weight, measurements, photos), so progress tracking starts on day one.
The 7-day TrueCoach to BrixFit checklist
Day 1: Walkthrough and exports
- Book a BrixFit walkthrough and show us how you coach.
- Export your active client CSV from TrueCoach (and archived clients if you want them).
- Export each master program, or share the workouts you reuse most.
Day 2: We build your BrixFit account
- We create your client profiles from the CSV.
- We rebuild your programs as workout templates in the BrixFit builder, using the 1,500+ exercise library.
- We set up a check-in form with the metrics you already track.
Day 3: Review your account
- Log in and open three clients you know well. Check their plans.
- Use "View Portal" to see exactly what a client will see.
- Add nutrition plans where you used MyFitnessPal before. BrixFit has its own nutrition builder with 10M+ foods, meal options and substitutes.
Day 4: Invite your most engaged clients
Pick five to ten clients who always check in. Send them a short message:
Quick update: from this week, your plan, meals and check-ins are moving to the BrixFit app. Download it on iOS or Android, log in with the details I just emailed you, and your programme is already there. Keep training as normal, nothing is lost.
Day 5: Invite the rest
Send the same message to everyone else. Answer questions once, in one place, instead of in twenty separate chats.
Day 6: Run one check-in cycle in BrixFit
Your clients complete their first BrixFit check-in. Activity alerts tell you who checked in, who logged weight and who has not opened the app yet. Nudge the stragglers personally.
Day 7: Retire TrueCoach
When every active client has logged in and checked in once, stop assigning workouts in TrueCoach and cancel your subscription on your renewal date.
What your clients will notice
- One app, not two. Workouts, meals and check-ins sit together, so nobody needs a second food-logging app.
- Progress they can see. On paid plans, graphs, measurements and before/after photos with side-by-side and slider views live in the app for both of you.
- Your brand. Clients see your branding after login, and your web portal can run on your own domain, on eligible plans.
- Health data sync. Apple Health and Google Health Connect sync bring steps and activity in automatically.
What you gain beyond programming
TrueCoach helps you deliver training to people who already pay you. BrixFit also helps you find the next ones:
- Lead forms you can share from your Instagram bio, with conditional questions.
- A lead pipeline with board, list and grid views and your own stages.
- Lead Intel, an AI brief of each lead before your sales call.
- AI health reports you can share on the call as personalised free value.
For a limited time, the BrixFit lead CRM is free with unlimited leads, so you can move your lead tracking over even before your clients. The full comparison is on our TrueCoach alternative page.
Common mistakes when switching
- Moving everyone on the same day. Start with your most engaged clients; they become your proof that the new app works.
- Rebuilding every old program. Move the templates you actually reuse. Old one-off programs can stay archived.
- Skipping the baseline. Ask for weight, measurements and photos on the first BrixFit check-in, or you lose the "before".
- Cancelling too early. Keep TrueCoach until every active client has logged in once.

Frequently asked questions
Can I move my clients from TrueCoach to BrixFit?
Yes. Export your client list as a CSV from TrueCoach's client list, and on eligible plans the BrixFit team creates your client profiles and rebuilds your programs for free. Clients then download the BrixFit app and log in.
Will my TrueCoach workout history come across?
TrueCoach's client CSV includes current details such as height, weight and total workouts completed, and workouts can be exported as a text file. Detailed logs stay in TrueCoach, so we record a fresh baseline on each client's first BrixFit check-in.
How long does switching from TrueCoach take?
Most coaches follow a 7-day plan: exports and walkthrough, account build, review, two invite batches, one check-in cycle, then TrueCoach is retired. Larger rosters may take longer; we confirm the timeline on your walkthrough.
Do I still need MyFitnessPal after switching?
No. BrixFit has its own nutrition plan builder with 10M+ foods, meal options and substitutes, so nutrition lives in the same client app as workouts and check-ins.
Is there a free way to try BrixFit before switching?
Yes. Create a free account: the lead CRM is free with unlimited leads for a limited time, and the free plan covers up to 3 active clients with workouts, nutrition, check-ins and the client app.
